Your
individual care requirements will be catered for in a safe, friendly,
welcoming and companionable environment. Your
satisfaction levels, care needs requirements and general wellbeing will
be reviewed constantly throughout your time at Holmwood and you will be
assisted to be able to participate in every aspect of your life at all
times.
We are able to care for up to thirty two people at any one time and
we can cater for needs ranging from broad care needs (help and
assistance to wash, dress, bathe, eat, mobility) to those people who
suffer with dementia. However at Holmwood we do not cater for people
with advanced dementia care needs. We specialise in long term care
placements and as such are able to promise you a ambiance that is
constant, homely and an environment that is first class with a strong
commitment to maintaining this high standard. Your care needs,
requirements and preferences will be discussed in detail with the
manager at Holmwood and she will advise you accordingly.
Prior to coming to live at Holmwood you will be asked to
participate in a detailed assessment of your care needs,
requirements and preferences and this information will help to
inform your care plan which advises the staff how to care for
you. This care plan will be reviewed monthly by your nominated
key worker, bi monthly by the manager and at least yearly with
yourself, your family (where applicable) and any other
interested parties that you consent to being part of the
process. These reviews are designed to ensure that we continue
to meet your care needs and requirements in accordance with your
wishes.
Holmwood is assisted to deliver this high standard of care by
visiting professionals, a doctor from Bungay surgery visits at
least weekly, district nurses visit daily, physiotherapist /
occupation therapist as required, a chiropodist visits every six
weeks. Our highly trained staff are able to assist with hospital
appointments and the making of any necessary referrals for
assorted services.
