Here at Holmwood we constantly refresh our training to ensure
that we are able to offer you a team of skilled staff and we are
very proud to have completed such a wide range of courses
designed to meet your care needs, ranging from level 3
certificates in medication management. Level 2 certificates in
understanding dementia, level 3 in palliative care, level 3
certificate in mental health awareness, team leading and this is
all in addition to the mandatory session which we refresh every
year covering subjects like, fire awareness, moving and
handling, quality and diversity, safeguarding, health and safety
and the mental capacity act.
All staff at Holmwood are subject to a rigorous selection
process and undergo several checks to ensure their suitability
before being welcomed into the team. It is also our policy at
Holmwood to invite and encourage people who live here, to help
with this recruitment process for example to interview new
staff. Your input and experience is greatly appreciated and
