Our Wider Community
We are constantly exploring ways of increasing the good relationships we already enjoy within the local community. This ranges from assisting our residents to visit local businesses and groups, such as the local ‘Knit and Natter’ Coffee mornings (with the emphasis being on natter!) to engaging with local primary school children.
Recently we have assisted our residents to correspond with a group of school children who had expressed an interest in writing to our residents to ask about their favourite childhood toys and places they have travelled to. Our Entertainments Co-ordinators sourced pictures of vintage toys to allow the children better understanding. This brought back some lovely memories and gave everyone lots to talk about! We received very positive feedback from the School who advised that the children enjoyed this opportunity too!
